Nevermore (Note Card)

Regular price $5.00

Holiday cards for Pagan holidays! Because why shouldn't we have bright cheerful greeting cards to send people? There is no reason. Whatsoever. This card is loosely designed for Samhain/Halloween times.

This card was inspired by Edgar Allan Poe, of course, and his famous poem The Raven (always one of my favorites, even at a young age). It features a colored pencil drawing of a raven in green and purple (tainted by my recent rereading of Beastly and Kendra's feathered friends). The word "NEVERMORE" is inked below it.

A tidbit about Samhain (paraphrased from various sources):
October 31. Also known has Halloween (the pronunciation of Samhain is actually pretty close). Colors are orange and black. It is sometimes referred to as the witch's new year, in line with an old Celtic tradition where the year started with the start of winter. Samhain is Irish for the end of summer; it is the final harvest (and fall) holiday. A festival to honor the dead, it is said that the veils between worlds are weakest on this day.

Card Details:
Cards are approximately 5 1/2" by 4 1/4", and come with a slightly larger envelope to put them in (these ones are white, although there is a stamp on the one in the photos there will be no stamp on the one you receive; it is just for reference). And it'll be packaged in a cardboard mailer, so it won't get all bent up.
