Juniper Litha (Fairy) (Note Card)

Regular price $5.00

Holiday cards for Pagan holidays! Because why shouldn't we have bright cheerful greeting cards to send people? There is no reason. Whatsoever.
This card features Juniper, the June fairy, and a strawberry because they are very summery.

A tidbit about Litha (paraphrased from various sources):
Litha/Midsummer: falls on June 21st in 2015. The summer solstice, the longest day of the year, when everything is growing full force and the triumph of light over dark is celebrated. It's also a holiday with a strong association with faeries (making Juniper the an even more appropriate holiday adornment). Red and yellow are popular colors for this day.

A tidbit about Juniper:
Juniper is one of the 13 fairies that I made up once upon a time (ha ha, no pun intended...ish) when I was a composing a (as of yet and probably perpetually) unfinished story about Sleeping Beauty. There's one for every month, plus one extra. They have all sorts of alliances and suchlike and are at war, and elemental, and all have weird names that are vaguely associated with their month names, function, or holidays therein.
Juniper is the fairy of June. She's allied with Marjoram and Augustine against Moira, Bridget, and Avery. She is unique in that unlike her other sisters' alliances, she's the leader of her trio even though she is not the oldest (Marje is, but she's a little apathetic and willing to listen to her younger sister). She's a very snooty fairy and tends to think she knows better than everyone else.

Oh yeah and card details, for people who care about that sort of thing:
Cards are approximately 5 1/2" by 4 1/4", and come with a slightly larger envelope to put them in (although there is a stamp on the one in the photos there will be no stamp on the one you receive; it is just for reference). This one is also blank on the inside, so that you may fill it with the message of your choice! (Such as "Happy Litha!").
