This is a very special drawing done in honor of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day (October 15th). I drew it from a photo of an aborted fetus posted by a medical student I follow on social media. It was inspired by a friend of mine who suffered the loss of a child (and brought the day in question to my attention). Although it is designed for the remembrance of a lost child, it could just as easily be used for the celebration of a living one. It has pink and blue ribbons as per the PaILRD ribbon colors.
Several of the classes I took in college taught me that miscarriages are alarmingly common. And even though abortion is a controversial issue, I feel that any person who loses their child, for whatever reason, must be going through something really awful, and needs all the support you can give them.
So I drew this picture mostly in support of my friend, and decided to have prints of it made for other people who might appreciate it.
This candle stands 3.5" tall and is 2" in diameter.
